Dyments Glen Drummond Farm Wedding Dundas, Ontario
Xenia and Steven held their wedding at Dymentโs Glen Drummond Farm in Dundas, Ontario for their summer wedding celebration. It’s an active family farm and all-in-one wedding venue located on a 120-acre property. With a dedicated outdoor ceremony space overlooking the Dundas Valley, a spacious barn for the reception, and acres of scenic farmland for portraits, it offers couples a convenient and naturally beautiful setting that doesnโt require shuttling guests between multiple venues.
The couple got ready separately at a nearby Airbnb. Itโs a good option for anyone getting married at Dymentโs, as thereโs no on-site getting-ready space for large wedding parties.
Xenia & Steven’s wedding ceremony took place on the escarpment side of the farm, one of the standout features of this venue. The site overlooks the Dundas Valley, and the elevated view makes for a striking ceremony backdrop. This simple but beautiful set up works well for intimate to mid-sized weddings. Guests were brought in by a tractor-pulled wagon, which added a rural, relaxed feel to the day.
If youโre planning to have wedding ceremony here, itโs good to keep in mind that the ceremony site is fully exposed. There is no shade or cover, so depending on the time of year and day, you may want to provide parasols, fans or water for your guests to keep them comfortable!
Wedding portraits at Dymentโs Glen Drummond Farm usually involve moving around the property rather than staying in one spot. The farm is quite large, and while there are a few photo-friendly areas near the barn, many of the best backdrops are spread out across the property. The venue provides a Kubota tractor to transport the couple for portraits, which makes it possible to access open fields, tree-lined areas, and escarpment views without cutting into too much of your timeline. This setup allows for variety in portraits while keeping things efficient and relaxed, especially during golden hour.
The wedding reception was held inside the barn, which has a high ceiling, exposed wood beams, and space for about 150 guests. Xenia and Steven kept the dรฉcor minimal, with white flower arrangements repurposed from the ceremony and string lights provided by the venue.
Dyment’s Glen Drummond Farm also has an in-house catering team that uses local and seasonal ingredients. The food is served buffet-style, and the staff managed the flow of dinner efficiently, even with a full guest count. From a photographerโs perspective, the layout of the barn allows for good movement and coverage, and the barn’s skylights provided plenty of natural light well into the evening.
Xenia and Stevenโs wedding at Dymentโs felt intentional and unrushed, with space for meaningful moments and time spent with the people they care about. For couples considering this venue, itโs a good example of how a simple setup and a well-run property can support a day that feels focused on the experience rather than the schedule. As a wedding photographer who has shot there multiple times, I would recommend this outdoor wedding venue if you’re looking for similar vibes for your celebration!
We finally got a chance this week to sit down and look at the photos and WE LOVE THEM. Thank you so much for capturing our day for us. Our friends and family who we have shared the photos with also mentioned how beautiful these photos are. They all commented on how well you were able to capture the emotions of the day and we couldn’t be more grateful. Thank you again!
