Guild Inn Estate Wedding Toronto, Ontario
Thobani and Sean tied the knot at the beautiful Guild Inn Estate in Toronto. It was a small and intimate wedding, with around 50 guests in attendance. What made this celebration even more special was the presence of the couple’s families, who had travelled from overseas. Both Thobani and Sean come from different cultural backgroundsโSean is from Ireland, while Thobani hails from Southern Africa. Their wedding was a beautiful blend of both cultures, creating a unique and meaningful experience for everyone involved.
For the bride and groom portraits, we chose to explore the enchanting Guild Park and Gardens. The Greek theatre, undoubtedly the highlight of the park, is a popular and stunning backdrop for wedding portraits. We were very fortunate that the weather forecast had predicted rain, as this provided us with perfect lighting conditions and an empty park!
Thobani and Sean’s wedding ceremony took place in the Gazebo at the Guild Inn Estate, a versatile indoor-outdoor space flooded with natural light. This space is great because it’s also covered, so if the weather isn’t great, everyone stays dry! The Gazebo was decorated with lovely blush and cream flowers by Bloomberry and Co., and the clear Chiavari chairs added a touch of elegance to the setting.
The wedding ceremony began with something unique called a ring-warming ceremony. This involved passing the ring box around to all guests, allowing each person to give their blessings and “warmth” to the rings. It’s such a special way to involve loved ones in this important moment before the bride and groom exchange their rings. To end the ceremony, Thobani and Sean had all their guests participate in a bubble recessional. This added a playful and joyful element to their special day.
Thobani and Sean’s relaxed, outdoor reception took place at the Bickford House Terrace at Guild Inn. The bride added her DIY touches to the reception dรฉcor with detailed accents made using a Cricut. The beautiful floral arrangements from the ceremony were repurposed, and the mini wedding cake by La Rocca Bakery added a touch of elegance to the setup. Amna Events did an excellent job of ensuring everything looked perfect on the day of the celebration. The evening concluded with everyone hitting the dance floor, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
