Sunset Forks of the Credit Engagement Caledon, Ontario
It’s hard to believe that 2020 has gone by so fast; Fall is almost upon us again! With the cooler temps coming in quickly, I felt it was appropriate to finally share Monica & Peter’s sunset Forks of the Credit engagement session!
Fall is by far my favourite season to schedule golden hour portrait sessions. The fall colours during a warm, glowing sunset is just so magical! Most of you agree with me, because autumn has always been the busiest time of the year for wedding & lifestyle photographers. If you’re looking to book a fall engagement or portrait session, don’t wait until the leaves change colour! Peak fall colours usually occur between mid-October to early November, but the best time to secure your booking is actually NOW, during September. If you leave it til the last minute, it may be difficult to accommodate your work schedule, and if you need to postpone due to bad weather, there’s a possibility that you may miss the peak of fall colours at your chosen location.

Monica & Peter had their fall engagement session a bit further north, in Caledon, so we were able to schedule it around late October. They wanted a little bit of everything for their golden hour Engagement portraits–a waterfront view, tall grass, and of course a view with the warm tones of fall leaves. When we were trying narrow down the perfect engagement shoot location, one of the first places that came to mind was Forks of the Credit Provincial Park. Like most Provincial Parks, there’s a lot less foot traffic during a weeknight, so we basically had the place to ourselves! (This was also pre-COVID, so we didn’t have to worry about crowds, social distancing or wearing face masks)
